Stockport Snowdrops is a group set up in 2015 to support mums in the Stockport/South Manchester area who are struggling with low mood, anxiety and any other perinatal mental health issues.
The groups are run by local mums to provide support for others who may be finding things difficult. You don’t have to be referred or have a diagnosis. If you are finding the transition to being a mum tough then please just come along to one of our meet ups
We meet in a comfortable room at St Mark’s Church Hall, Bredbury which has toys for the little ones and we provide tea, coffee, cold drinks and usually some yummy cake too. There is usually between 8 & 10 mums at the group and it is like an informal play group.
Our groups are every Wednesday during termtime and we run 2 groups each morning.
9.30am -11am is a group for mums with toddlers or babies on the move and 11.15-12.45am is for mums with babies under 1.
Our group is free and kindly sponsored by Bloom baby classes – perfect sensory classes for you and your baby. If you are looking for a fun class to do with your little one, they are perfect.
You can read more about the stories behind those who help at Snowdrops on our blog page and there are lots of different topics written about including my thoughts when someone first told me about a group for mums who were struggling (I didn’t think it sounded like a good idea!!!) so please take a few minutes and have a little read.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
